Arranged from the earliest National Banjos and Triplates, Duolians, Style 0s, wood bodied Nationals, through Dobros both wood and metal, jazz style acoustics, electrics, solid bodies, Resoglas and the last Valco guitars of 1968. There are sections of instruments covering the Gardena period, Mosrite, and OMI both in Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Following these are sections on Lap Steels and Consoles from 1935 to 1968. Mark Makin graduated from Coventry College of Art with a BA in Graphic Design in 1970. He has worked as an art college lecturer in graphic design specialising in printmaking (lithography and screen printing), a creative director in advertising and has been a professional freelance graphic designer for the last 30 years, working in Nottingham for clients such as Central Television, Makita power tools, BBC, Boots and Rolls Royce Aero Engines.
