The dune was so hot you couldn't climb it with flip flops. It is in the middle of Namibia in the middle of nowhere. Once we got there we bumped into the Gary, Duncan, Alison and Robyn who were also there in their beast of a hire 4x4. It was great trying to use a GPS to find out where our mates were. We eventually tracked them down in a guest farm where they had already booked us into. This time we made the dinner. Mark is on Safari in Africa. Cairo to Cape Town in a truck. Yay-o. Saturday, February 10, 2007. Got done again. This time for a 72km/hr in a 60km/hr speed zone. The Botswana police didn't seem corrupt though. I didn't have any Bots Pula money to pay them so told them I was only going to pay in SA Rand. They didn't seem too happy but I just said that they could take me to a Bureau De Change if they wanted Pula. They eventually relented. Botswana is one of the least corrupt countries in Africa I think.

Tuesday, 17 February 2009. A Taste of Asia. It was great. We made Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Penang Curry, Basil and Chilli Stir Fry and Lime Fish. And the best thing is we got to eat the results of our work. Yum-o. Actually, perhaps not having to do the dishes was the best thing? I wonder how Nic is going to handle doing dishes for two back in NZ? This is Nic getting up close and personal with Freddy the fish who moments earlier was alive and well. Check out our handiwork. Sunday, 22 February 2009. Sydney with Dan and Jen. We flew Bangkok to Sydney. Getting out at Sydney was a bit dreamlike. The city was so clean, like Tokyo. The people were really friendly. This definitely wasn't London anymore. We were sitting down at a bus stop and a postie rode by on his bike. He turned to us and said "Good morning! We were so shocked we didn't know what to say. This is fabulous; people are genuinely nice. We got on a bus and the driver was playing AC/DC. This had to be Australia!

On the way to the caves, we nearly got run down by a massive house boat. He kept turning and our guide kept saying we could out run it.
