Continental Drift, 2007. 22" x 30" C-print. Displayed at Window Project, 1407 Government Street, Downtown Victoria, BC, Canada (across from Mountain Equipment Co-op) from January 20 to February 28, 2007. Continental Drift tells the story of a fictional Newfoundland family with found diagrams of plate tectonics. The narrative, presented as a series of figures, mixes Canadian history with North American geology to relate the family's gradual migration from Newfoundland's south coast to Canada's west.

The Stump Act, 2004-2006 (collaboration with Melissa Creasey). In the summer of 2004, we performed. Traveling the entire 1896 km length of Yonge Street, from the shores of Lake Ontario to the US-Canada border at Rainy River. Along the way, we erected twenty rectangular wooden signs depicting tree stumps, dividing the street into twenty sections. The result is a two channel video installation that documents the performance, partly from the dash of our car.

A sculpture made from hemlock and spruce posts sourced from the sawmill at the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve, was partly envisioned as a poetic analogue to the lumber spilling down the lines in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada: logs floating down the rivers to be corralled by booms in the lakes, lumber milled and shipped out, spilling down rail and roadway.

Working from diverse sources, such as botany, folklore, geology, and history, he rearticulates this examination into various media, including installation, new media, performance, sound, and video. His exhibitions include shows in Canada, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has received grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council, and the Ontario Arts Council.
