além mar: Squall
http://mardealem.blogspot.com/2013/08/squall.html
Sábado, 31 de agosto de 2013. Squalls of a different type result from cold air drainage down steep slopes. The force of the squall is derived from gravity and depends on the descending air which is colder and more dense than the air it replaces. So-called fall winds of this kind are common on mountainous coasts of high latitudes, where cold air forms on elevated plateaus and drains down fiords or deep valleys. Aproveitem o que é bom. além mar: Ainda aqui estamos
http://mardealem.blogspot.com/2013/09/ainda-aqui-estamos.html
Domingo, 8 de setembro de 2013. Papeis. Peças encomendadas que chegaram trocadas. Coisas que aparecem. Ainda aqui estamos. Estou cansado e eternamente div...

além mar: Aqui estamos
http://mardealem.blogspot.com/2015/04/aqui-estamos.html
Amanhã o skipper regressa a ...

Adventures in the Mountains: August 2008
http://chrisdovell.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Adventures in the Mountains. Sunday, 10 August 2008. After the postponement of the trip to Everest I decided I needed to use my new found fitness for something. After discussing various options with Kim I decided on Elbrus (5642m) which is officially the highest mountain in Europe and is on the Russian / Georgian boarder. I approached my good friend and neighbour, Russell Brice, and a plan was made for a trip leaving at the end of May for 2 weeks. We climbed on skis sometimes, and on foot at other times.

Adventures in the Mountains: On top of the world!
http://chrisdovell.blogspot.com/2009/05/on-top-of-world.html
Adventures in the Mountains. Friday, 22 May 2009. On top of the world! After a fairly tense day yesterday knowing that 9/10 of the Himex team summited but no details of who, I received a call from Chris this morning from Base Camp reporting that he had reached the summit. He was looking forward to a shower and a good meal and intends to sink a few beers in the white pod this evening. Love to you all from a very proud Dovell household. 22 May 2009 at 09:16. 22 May 2009 at 09:22. Pete, Nikki, Alex and Luke.

Adventures in the Mountains: Summit update
http://chrisdovell.blogspot.com/2009/05/summit-update.html
Adventures in the Mountains. Monday, 25 May 2009. I am sorry that this update has taken a little while to get through to you but what with the bad weather (little solar power) and everyone wanting time on the computer to send e-mails and reply to e-mails it has been a little difficult. Even now there is a queue of 5 or 6 people wanting to use it so I will have to keep this update slightly more brief than I would have otherwise liked. 4: Edward on my tent at the South Col. Our first objective was a place ...

Adventures in the Mountains: Getting closer...
http://chrisdovell.blogspot.com/2009/05/leaving-for.html
Adventures in the Mountains. Saturday, 16 May 2009. Reaching the summit, we will, after a few minutes, head back down to Camp 4 and, if we are strong enough, on down to Camp 2 where it is much safer. The summit day will probably be somewhere between 14 and 18 hours and it is said we will use between 14,000 and 18,000 calories! Looks like I might loose some more weight! Just one photo this time of Phuba and me in Base Camp. I hope the next blog will contain photos of the summit! If you can bear to hear th...
