Having run my Westfield for three years I have decided that I want to build another car. I have had a look around and decided to go for a MEV Replicar, a tribute to the 1950's Aston Martin DBR1.

This is not new territory for me as I stripped an MX5 for my Westfield build. The stripdown went smoothly and was done over a couple of weekends. Not too far to Westfield and when I got there they were loading someone else who had bought the full kit. With time on my hands I had a good wonder around. Engine In - First Fit. Using a mk2.5. Mark's Mazda SDV Westfield. This was the cheapest thing I could find. Since it first went up I have had to re-inforce the roof support and re-roof. Have added some electrics with lights. Once the donor is out I think I will add another layer of flooring, already had a trolley jack wheel sink into the floor. Engine In - First Fit. Using a mk2.5. Mark's Mazda SDV Westfield. Ended up using a Mark1 MX5 manifold as the Mark2.5 I had goes too far back in the engine bay. This then required the blocking of the EGR valve and I will have to add a sensor to keep the ECU happy. I also picked up a padded steering wheel as my donor one was the airbag type, this then led my to modifying the clock spring on the steering column. Create a free website.
