http://themineshaftgap.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The Mine Shaft Gap. Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Game Session, Nov 20, 2005. Present: Richard, Alex, Paul. From opening the box to game end took us four hours, almost to the minute. All three of us were engaged throughout the whole game ie; there was little or no down-time. And the time actually felt about right to me, although I know Alex would have been happier if it had finished perhaps 60-90 minutes earlier. In late Oct, which barely counts! Results: Alex: $260. Richard: $216. Paul: $22. Played by Cra...

The Mine Shaft Gap: Norwegian Mine Shaft Gap
http://themineshaftgap.blogspot.com/2006/06/norwegian-mine-shaft-gap.html
The Mine Shaft Gap. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Norwegian Mine Shaft Gap. Recently discovered this story (click the title above) about those hoopy Norwegians using a (figurative) mine shaft to store a collection of seeds to be saved in case of a hypothetical doomsday scenario. My question is, what seeds are they storing? It will ultimately house replicates of every known crop variety.", says an anonymous statement. So you can bet they'll start with skanky Scandinavian plants. Where are the mangoes? Coach o...

The Mine Shaft Gap. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Game Session, Feb 19, 2006. Present: Richard, Brian, Pat, Alex, Brad, Paul. Played: David and Goliath. Thanks to Richard for notes about Deduce or Die and The Willow Game. Thanks again to Brad for the pictures. Points scored are the face value of the cards collected, unless you have 3 or more of the same suit, in which case they are only worth one each. A score pad was kept for this game, but the only result I remember was that I won. Hooray! Brian went t...
