Intercontinental Backpacking: Stockholm to Helsinki
http://markturnbaugh.blogspot.com/2007/10/stockholm-to-helsinki.html
Backpacking Blog through Egypt and Europe. Wednesday, October 3, 2007. The day after I went to the Vasa Museum which contains a ship 17th century ship that was pulled up from Stockholm's harbor in the 1950's. This was absolutely the best museum I have been to. The ship was in perfect condition and the museum did not contain to little information or too much. Posted by Mark Turnbaugh. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Anchorage, AK, United States. Intercontinental Backpacking: Visit to the Swedish Relatives
http://markturnbaugh.blogspot.com/2007/11/visit-to-swedish-relatives.html
Backpacking Blog through Egypt and Europe. Sunday, November 18, 2007. Visit to the Swedish Relatives. I got the train from Interlaken to Zürich and from Zürich to Frankfurt . I arrived into Frankfurt at 3pm and did not have a flight to Stockholm until 9pm. It turned out that RyanAir's Frankfurt Airport is not in Frankfurt, but an hour and a half away. While in Frankfurt I did some laundry and hung out in a hostel. I missed the 5pm bus so I took the 6pm bus. Posted by Mark Turnbaugh. Egypt and Europe Map.

http://markturnbaugh.blogspot.com/2007/12/frankfrut-prague-budapest-vienna.html
Backpacking Blog through Egypt and Europe. Friday, December 7, 2007. Frankfrut, Prague, Budapest, Vienna. After a few days of relaxing in Frankfurt I headed to Prague for some Pilsner Urquell and a Mozart concert. The night I got into Prague. Praha in Czech, I took a walk around the city to get a quick overview of it. I saw some of the major cathedrals, the castle, and the main tourist sites. Next, I was off to Vienna Austria to catch up on the history of Arnold. At night I caught a night train to Rome.

http://markturnbaugh.blogspot.com/2007/12/frankfurt-to-chicago_08.html
Backpacking Blog through Egypt and Europe. Saturday, December 8, 2007. Once again I have waited 3 weeks to update my blog. Dont worry though, the places I went too were only Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terra, Gimmelwald, Grindelwald, and Interlaken! There should be a big update in a few days of the last few destinations of my trip, my thoughts during the trip, and the transition back in to American culture. Posted by Mark Turnbaugh. My Early Retirement: Rome!!!!
http://mytriptobrussels.blogspot.com/2010/04/rome.html
Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Sunday, April 11, 2010. When I think back on all of my easters, I remember the same thing, sun, bright colors, church, but most importantly family. Off the top of my head the most memorable Easters I have celebrated are going to Clemson with my Dad in high school, and listening to the peep sermon at Harbert Covenant Church with most of my extended family. It was Michelle, another Deltasig from Clemson! To see my trip in visual form click here. Why forec...
My Early Retirement: Will I Ever Get Home?
http://mytriptobrussels.blogspot.com/2010/04/will-i-ever-get-home.html
Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Saturday, April 17, 2010. Will I Ever Get Home? For those safely enjoying the comforts of home, I envy your position. I am continually checking news reports, blog posts, and video-casts for the current condition of the volcano in Iceland that I will not even try to spell. If the volcano is to erupt, my roommates and I have a few options: take a train far enough away from Iceland to fly the other way around the world, stay in Europe, go to Africa, board ...
My Early Retirement: And So It Starts...
http://mytriptobrussels.blogspot.com/2010/03/and-so-it-starts.html
Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Saturday, March 13, 2010. And So It Starts. Every End is a New Beginning" - Proverb. For the past seven weeks, I have ventured to the corners of Europe - by train, bus, and plane - with and without friends. I have walked through countless cathedrals, spoken to locals from six different countries, slipped down icy roads, bronzed on sahara sand, and so much more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Early Retirement: February 2010
http://mytriptobrussels.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Friday, February 26, 2010. Today, I ventured to Brugge, Belgium. With two of the CUBC tour guides and fellow students. We all met together at around 8:45 at Brussels' Central Station. After a few late comers, we crammed onto the train en route to Brugge. We luckily made it to the city without any major problem like every other trip, haha. Once we arrived, we split into two groups and attempted to take on the city like we always do. The center of the cit...

Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Saturday, March 27, 2010. I know it has been awhile…I apologize, but this post is about an event that I particularly did not like. I guess I was trying to push it off as much as possible. But, then I discovered that I wanted to let you all know the information I wish I knew before going to Berlin. I stayed in a nice hostel right next to Alexanderplatz, which is only a short walk to all of the main tourist attractions, so far so good right? It is really ...
My Early Retirement: January 2010
http://mytriptobrussels.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Don't Wish for Less Problems, Wish for More Skills. Monday, January 25, 2010. We then walked along a busy street which led us directly passed Moulin Rouge and the like. We only quickly snapped pictures of the red windmill before leaving to go back to the catacombs. We were able to enter the catacombs this time. It was more spooky than anything else. I was very puzzled and amazed by the detail that the French put into the catacombs. Pictures From Day 3. Pictures From Day 2. Pictures From Day 1. On Sunday,...
