It’s great to be at Marloth Park. June 14, 2014. June 23, 2014. While others are freezing around the country, it is great to sit next to my fire in shorts and T shirt at Marloth Park. As usual, being away from here for a while, it takes my friends a while to realize I am home. After a quiet day, my first visit was from some unknown warthogs which are now new friends. Unfortunately I did not have the privilage of either a visit or a close up, I once again had the honor of a visit from a new zebra family.

Originally a farm, Marloth Park was divided into plots and made available for sale to the general public in 1977. The park itself is approximately 3000ha (17 square km’s) with over 90km’s of road. Within the boundaries of Marloth Park lies Lionspruit, an area exclusively reserved and fenced for wildlife with no plots for sale but with access granted to residents and visitors.
