Fanciful fun for little people in and around Sydney's inner west. Wednesday, 25 April 2012. So, I've been wanting to do some river walking along the Cooks River with my family. We've lived in Marrickville for 15 months now - let's do it today! On a mid-week Public Holiday. My husband jumped online for a map of the Cooks River and stumbled across Playground Finder. A playground search site for the whole of Australia! If you have not been is another little gem. If you feel like a big German schnitzel!

This is the second time I've made it. The first time I made it solo and today O and I had great fun making it together while J napped. I am not a natural at cooking, practise makes better. I wonder what the collective noun for ribbon is? This morning Baby O and I made a trip to Pan Pacific Distributing. They sell ribbons in all shapes and sizes; double satin, grosgrain, polka dots, zebra print, from very thin to thick.and more! Next time I am in need of a race of ribbons I will definitely pop back!

Thursday, May 8, 2008. Greeks have been a big part of Marrickville history. While Vietnamese noodle places now dominate Marrickville Road, some Greek remanets remain. As does Alexander the Great Macedonian Club. I decided to visit the place with my buddies on Saturday. Our Greek Goddess buddy Maria took control of the food order. We ordered dips, bread and a mixed seafood and meat platter. Red wine was also the order of the day. While Dolly Parton works the crowd. Note taking was the only way to converse.
