Banff: Part 3 (Lake Louise). February 21, 2016. We almost had an iPhone casuality with this pic yall. You should have seen this phone propped up a flimsy branch hanging on for dear life. Also, we’re holding each other up in this pic, because running in snowshoes after you set the self-timer only to find that you both just keep sinking deeper into the snow requires some mutual support. We said our sad goodbyes to our cabin and headed towards Lake Louise, AKA one of the most picturesque spots in the world.

Our date plans the other night started as dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and a movie at a swanky new theater we wanted to try out… Our night ended up being dinner at a grocery store and watching the GOP debate back at home. If only we had thrown in a trip to Home Depot, it would have completed the married-life date trifecta I used to make fun of my parents for. Maple Bacon Balsamic Dressing, anyone? February 28, 2016. We watched this baby elephant romp around forever. He was as playful as a puppy! But a lot more destructive…). This bird was hilarious It was having a standoff with its own shadow, so maintained this position for about ten minutes before walking away. This weekend, we went down to Marshall’s family’s bay house at Smith Point. The house overlooks the bay and at night, you can see Galveston on the other side. The sunsets at the bay are SO dreamy. Don’t get me wrong I. My city. I love it’s diversity and food and Astros games and neighborhoods. But when you’re like me and you irrationally complain to your people about moving away because Houston has no mountains, it’s tough to admit that the city. Actually be charming and wonderful in its own way. Fingers crossed ...
