I was fortunate to have studied the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and to have Poalo Solari as a lecturer. We learned in the harsh Arizona desert to respect the building site, orientation, its context be it rural or urban and the impact the environment has on that site and on the completed structure. This hebdomad 's weave ( presented above ) is a mounted fragment of an early Eighteenth century tyke 's comfort from southern France that was given to me by one of my nieces, who holds fab taste ( doubtless genetic ). Thursday, July 30, 2009. Oh, I have wanted a lovely old wooden salad bowl for years now. I lust after the one my dad has. And know that it will be a long, long, long time if ever that I could call it my own. A week ago, I learned. Of a similar bowl available from a wonderful shop near where I work.
