Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Walking a fine line. I walked on a fine line yesterday. It started with my son asking for leftover blackberry cobbler for breakfast, which is a kid after my own heart. It was their next to the last day of school, with an early release at 12:30. We were home for about five minutes, when our neighbor knocked on the door. Did we want to go boating? Of course we did! The boys couldn't put on their bathing suits fast enough. Borderline between Southern and. Id we have a token. If I were...

Devoted to the endless quest of all things beautiful. The Way Life Should Be, Maine Stay 2. July 29, 2015. During our trip to Maine, I was especially happy to visit the gallery of one of my favorite ceramicist, Allison Evan. S Her work is innovative and gorgeous. She states that the sea inspires her ceramics! The new gallery in Boothbay Harbor is reflective of her simple but elegant design philosophy. The Marston House. Life as it should be, Maine We went to sea one day, for a short hop over to Small Poi...

Friday, August 21, 2009. Bathroom Inspiration from The Boundary Hotel. I'm taking a bit of a break from the Maine posts. And sharing some more bathroom inspiration. I just spotted a few lovely baths that caught my eye over at Remodelista. Ps hope that makes sense? It's a little confusing and I tried to re-write. Basically most people's pipes are inside the wall which if it's on an exterior wall of the home the pipes would have a higher chance of freezing in extreme northern climates. 611 Us Route 1.

2009 Weave of the hebdomad # 38: Les petites fleurs. October 28th, 2009. This hebdomad 's weave ( presented above ) is a mounted fragment of an early Eighteenth century tyke 's comfort from southern France that was given to me by one of my nieces, who holds fab taste ( doubtless genetic ). Even before I cognized anything else about the piece, its quiet appeal won me over. The piece is done of homespun and hand-loomed linen. I maked some research into bluish dyestuffs in Paul Rodier 's book. I rarely rete...

Thursday, July 30, 2009. Oh, I have wanted a lovely old wooden salad bowl for years now. I lust after the one my dad has. And know that it will be a long, long, long time if ever that I could call it my own. A week ago, I learned. Of a similar bowl available from a wonderful shop near where I work. Today, it became mine. Thank you ever so much to the giver of this love. I washed it tonight and purchased some mineral oil to love it up before the salad this weekend. YEAH! Thursday, July 30, 2009.
