Collaborative projects | Building our English up

https://martagblogs.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/collaborative-projects-8

Building our English up. English teaching from the heart and much more! I have never had the chance of doing collaborative projects with students, although I did several collaborative projects as a student in the UOC University when I was doing the Master in e-learning. A good idea is to have a virtual learning environment where all mates can work and the teacher can see how everything is working. How would I use blogs in my class. Mar 28, 2012. Collaborative projects are an art because you have to find ...

Present Simple Tense | Building our English up

https://martagblogs.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/present-simple-tense-5

Building our English up. English teaching from the heart and much more! Sometimes we find it difficult to make our pupils understand the most simple things. The present simple tense is an example. It is so simple that pupils do not understand it. One of the reasons is because an “s” is added just when in Spanh or Catalan would have no sense! Is English learning a must? Twitter | Building our English up

https://martagblogs.wordpress.com/2012/03/15/twitter-8

Building our English up. English teaching from the heart and much more! One of the web 2.0 tools I most appreciate is Twitter. It all began actually with a teacher of mine, who made all pupils begin with Twitter and we were graded according to the number of tweets we made. At that moment I didn’t give it the importance I saw it had later on. Now I have an account with more than 250 followers and I have more than 800 tweets! And the best part of it: it worked! Is English learning a must? | Building our English up

https://martagblogs.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/is-english-learning-a-must

Building our English up. English teaching from the heart and much more! Is English learning a must? Is English learning a must nowadays? Although the answer to this question is obviously affirmative for many people, there are still too many parents who think English is not so necessary as others say. Maybe these parents don’t use English in their daily lives and so think their children can perfectly live without mastering the language. Feb 24, 2012. Nice idea to include a poll in your post! My favourite Web 2.0 tool | Weekly Smiles

https://weeklysmiles.wordpress.com/2012/03/13/60

Post a smile every week. My favourite Web 2.0 tool. Is one of my favorite slideshows tool. It’s easy and fun to create videos with it. It’s as simple as: uploading your photos, adding music and adding your captions. I want to share with you one of the projects I carried out last year with my 2 ESO students under the title “ A Country, a Sport, a Person. And then as a video project. Learners had to complete the task as cooperative groups. A tool I use a lot for project-based activities). Newer Entry →.

Post a smile every week. Archive for the month “March, 2012”. Integrating Blogs in the English language classroom. I came across to lots of different sites giving good advice on how to use (and not use) blogs in the classroom. They usually recommend a list to start our creativity. My conclusion: there are as many ways to use blogs in education as there are to use paper. The sky’s the limit! Posted in Teaching Strategies. Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand .

Collaborative Projects | Weekly Smiles

https://weeklysmiles.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/collaborative-projects

Post a smile every week. Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand . Fact: people learn best when they are actively engaged in the process of learning. Students working in small groups or on group projects tend to remember more of what they have learned–and have a more complete understanding of the material being presented. However, not everyone appreciates the value of collaboration. Posted in Teaching Strategies. Newer Entry →. March 29, 2012 at 2:48 pm. You ar...

Let’s not reform education. Let’s revolutionize education. | Weekly Smiles

https://weeklysmiles.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/lets-not-reform-education-lets-revolutionize-education

Post a smile every week. Let’s not reform education. Let’s revolutionize education. Last year my high school participated in the DIM/UAB research Towards a bimodal curriculum: changing the paradigm in the classroom. Directed by Pere Marqués. The teachers involved had to carry out several teaching-learning activities to ensure the memorization of essential knowledge as well as the development of different practical activities with the support of what he calls auxiliary memory (books, the internet, etc).

Caminante no hay camino…. Grecia ’11 – Peloponeso y Meteoras.
