Rowing with Martha’s Moms. Martha’s Moms Rowing Club, an experienced masters women team, has rowed competitively since the early 1980s and in over 30 years has competed locally, nationally and internationally. Martha’s Moms. Aidan Hennessey, who took gold in a varsity four at University of Minnesota, has coached masters and juniors in Seattle and the Eastside since 2012. LWRC members participate in races in Seattle, across the country and around the world. LWRC trailers boats to a subset of these races. These races are indicated in Bold Red. LWRC offers coached programs for club members. We offer rowing programs for both Adults. Our offerings include both sculling and sweep options. We also offer Junior Rowing Camp. Sessions throughout the summer. Registration for most programs is by the quarter. You must be an LWRC member to participate in a coached programs. Also row at LWRC. Women joined the Club in 1963, and in 1966 a group of nine LWRC women hosted and won the first National Women’s Rowing Association (NWRA) Championships. In 1969 the LWRC women again won the NWRA Championships, and became the first USA women’s crew to travel to Europe to compete in the World Championships.
