From Our Front Porch Looking In. A freak show of sorts. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. He started out his big day with a Baseball Cupcake for breakfast. We had the Lewtons over for BBQ and cupcakes. They showed off their baby (OMG.Vinny used to be that little.sniff, sniff.hurry into the kitchen before anyone catches you crying) and we all ooh and ahhed about little baby Mason. Ava says "He's so cute. I can't even think about it in my head! Emma couldn't wait to get her hands on him. Vinny got lots of BALLS!

From Our Front Porch Looking In. A freak show of sorts. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. OMG, why did I wait 3 years to experience the bliss of Barton Springs. Last week I decided that we needed to experience more Texas. I woke up and asked my Facebook friends if I was crazy to go to Barton Springs alone with my kids. Many of them said "Oh, hell yes! Said "Whatevs.I'll meet you there. We LOVE BS! And now we do, too. Ahhhh.the fresh water (although there was A LOT of algae) felt sooo good. Vinny loved the algae.

On this, the holiest day of the resurrection of Christ, I was tempted to give the kids some candy canes to really remind them of the pureness of Christ and the blood he shed. It goes without saying that Easter is pretty low key at our house. Baskets, candy, find some eggs and have a nice dinner. We also got a plate cover for advertising while I am on the roads. So fun! If that isn't cool enough. The best part of the story.Greg had tried to pick the plates up several times at our local DMV. Two weekends ago, we were at the snow sledding and making snow men. About an hour drive is all it takes to get to the snow. Gotta love it. Oh, lets take the boat to the bay to see the whale that has been hanging around for the last week. So we pack up the kids and boat and head to the water. We grab Subway for lunch to eat while out enjoying the beautiful San Diego Bay. On the hunt for the whale. We look, we search, we putter around. Nothing! A very large star fish.
