Because I am designing the front suspension myself (well, sort of! For the inspiration) am have fabricated wooden brackets to hold the front wheels in exactly the right position relative to the chassis. This will help both in the measuring/designing stage and also in the assembly stage. I'm making the bottom wishbones first. The Chassis is a spaceframe chassis built from 25mm square tubing and 19mm round tubing. Chassis metal arrives 30th July 2002. The first rail is cut, 31st July 2002. Rear of chassis fabricated to GTS. Spec to accept their de Dion axle. April/May 2005. Front end with steering rack tacked in place. April 2006. Hmm.nearly four years already. Best get my finger out! And strengthened. Propshaft rotating at around 9000rpm! The more metalwork between that and my legs the happier I'll be! And 'TR' tubes fitted.

The Scotch 'n' Water! No wonder I can never get on the Locostbuilders. And 'er bruvver. Ugly bugger! Caution - Woman driver! Good job the drivers seats going on runners - them's very short legs! Oh alright, one for the animal lovers, 'ere's the cookin' fat! And the latest addition to the family, my new Grandaughter. Arrived 26th July 2007, pictured with 'er Mum! And the other one. Makes working on the computer somewhat difficult when you've got a cat who thinks it's dinner time!

Checking how the nosecone will look. Okay width wise but not deep enough as the chassis is 2 taller than standard. Option one, extend length and depth of nose to keep in proportion. Or Dan (Scutters) suggestion . Or, keep same profile and add small 'air scoop' to bottom of nosecone and stick number plate to it. V8 and steering in situ with front and rear arches resting in place. And yes it will all be the same colour when it's finished! Orange, the colour of the rear arches.

Strax innan Åstorp kom den strömlösa sektionen där jag rullade igenom utan problem och jag bromsade in tåget vid u-tavlan på spår 1 i Åstorp.
