New location

Here's a few photos of our new store. For 50 years Martin Marine has catered to the needs of the local boating community from their period building on West 1st Street in North Vancouver. Due to urbanization of the lower Lonsdale area it is somewhat bittersweet that we have sold the property and will be relocating to a new home in Sept 2014. However with this move comes a whole new era and an element of excitement as we watch the new location coming together.

These photos were taken by Robert Thompson a friend who lives across the street from the old store. We knew that it was coming, but even then you are never truly prepared for what you'll see. After 50 years in the old building it was reduced to a pile of rubble within 3 days. The worst part was that the demo company didn't save any of the old timbers that framed the building. Some of them were 2-1/2" x 12" x 30 ft long. All clear fir!
