Is a hard place to describe. A simple summary is that it's an international ecumenical youth-focused meditative monastic community in France. Quite a mouthful, no? While Taizé's roots are in its community on the hill in France, it also leads meetings in various countries round the world, often with a focus on harmony and reconciliation. St Andrews is a small town, and it would be easy to get bored during one's free time - if there weren't so many social activities going on! Over the years I've been here, I've been associated with quite a few societies, joining the committee of several. A non-exhaustive list, in no particular order, is below. Welcome to the Intellectual Adventures of Ron the Don. And where is his world? Meet the characters and join the cult! The happenings in Ron's Oxford are documented in cartoon form by Gillian Howard, and have been going on since 2001, when a drawing of a little man in subfusc first appeared on the whiteboard at Tanglewood. Since then, more and more characters have joined the merry fun and games, and storylines have grown and developed. A new episode is produced roughly weekly.
