Saturday, April 12, 2008. My Video of Choice. So to begin on project 2, here I chose a portion of the Richard Williams' animated film,. The Thief and the Cobbler. It's almost as interesting as the film itself. In this scene the thief has stolen Princess Yum Yum's golden backscratcher and shoe. Tac, the cobbler, chases the thief because he has to finish his work on the shoe and feels obligated to save the belongings of the beautiful princess he's become infatuated with. Tuesday, April 15, 2008. I heard this report on PRI and found this video by MSNBC. On an experiment using special cameras to track and compare the focal point of persons with autism and persons without during a scene from "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf". I think this can be interesting when considering the interactions between viewer/cinematographer/storyline which we are studying in project 2. Here is the PRI Report. New York Times article. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Project 1 Video Compolation. Basically this is a compilation of my work and explorations to date. I think possibly this edit could be better explained with added process and analysis, to understand the relationship between the physical motion of the tennis stroke, and the virtual motion of the computer generated model. Monday, March 31, 2008. Thursday, March 27, 2008. FINAL (Monolake vs Pink Floyd). Challenge architectural conventions of representation. Interpret new design processes of generating space, body and form. Generate surface and space mapping body contour lines in time and motion. Video A and B show the same sequence, the soundtrack of video A suits more the animation in rhythm. And "electronic spirit". I added video B just for the pleasure. Of playing Pink Floyd, plus it gives a trippy vibe.
