Photo journal of sorts: October 2012

http://martynferry.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Photo journal of sorts. A bit of travel, a bit of photography, a bit of Photoshop. Friday, October 26, 2012. Autumn photography - images that work, images that don't, and why. After taking a trip down to Westonbirt Arboretum the other weekend to check out the autumn colours I thought it might be interesting, if only to me, to look at some of the pictures I managed to get and to explore why some images work better than others. But despite the fantastical displays of colour and the incredible variety on of...

Photo journal of sorts: The Cotswolds - Chipping Norton

http://martynferry.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-cotswolds-chipping-norton.html

Photo journal of sorts. A bit of travel, a bit of photography, a bit of Photoshop. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The Cotswolds - Chipping Norton. Chipping Norton is the highest town in Oxfordshire, The town's name means 'market north town', with "Chipping" (from Old English cēping) meaning 'market'. Chipping Norton began as a small settlement at the foot of a hill on which stood the motte-and-bailey Chipping Norton Castle. Only the earthworks of the castle remain. Third Saturday of every month. Photo journal of sorts. A bit of travel, a bit of photography, a bit of Photoshop. Thursday, August 8, 2013. Big Cats and their eye wear. Not so long ago I posted a piece about photographing big cats at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation, you can in fact see that very post. Posted by Martyn Ferry. Sunday, August 4, 2013. I attended the Witney Steam and Vintage Fair the other day, and as you can probably surmise by the name, it was full of people showing off their steam engines and vintage cars.

Photo journal of sorts: July 2012

http://martynferry.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Photo journal of sorts. A bit of travel, a bit of photography, a bit of Photoshop. Monday, July 16, 2012. France Day 8 - Lautrec - the village and the painter. We stopped in Fanjeaux which was a lovely old town, you know the score, medieval streets, half timbered buildings and suchlike, unfortunately the weather was turning decidedly unpleasant so we had a bit of a walk around and soon decided to move on. It was almost coffee o’clock so we pulled into Revel. View of Lautrec and surrounding countryside.
