Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Othing on earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night! We had a fun Halloween. It was nice and warm (in the high50s instead of our usual freezing blizzard). Nick and Alex are too old to trick-or-treat- though I think Alex went around gathering candy. Spencer's 5th grade class had a wax museum for Halloween, and he had to pick a famous historical figure, so he picked John Wilkes Booth, Lincoln's assa. Here's Spencer with his friends.a motley crew. Jared ended up a...

Sunday, September 21, 2008. One Week and Counting. It has been a whirlwind few weeks. We are madly trying to get ready for Greece. We leave in exactly 1 week! Only 68 things left to do before we leave :). They made the playoffs that we will miss- thanks Grandma and Grandpa for taking him. Hope they win! Tall people always are! We'll take lots of pictures in Greece so you can see how beautiful it is. I saw Mama Mia- if it looks that good in a film- it's got to be gorgeous in real life. Our Family Nov 2007.

Friday, January 2, 2009. We decided to do something a bit different this year for Christmas. We had been trying to find the right time to visit the Buchan family this past fall, but life got crazy and so did we. So the Sunday before Christmas, we really felt like we should go to California and make a "sur. Prise" visit. This gave us 2 days to pull together the rest of our Christmas shopping and get ready to make our trek across Nevada. We made the necessary. We did a little last minute shopping - Mary An...

Friday, October 24, 2008. Our visit in Athens included seeing the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and the Arch of Hadrian. Just standing up looking at these 55 feet pillars and the Arch which is 60 feet high by 45 feet wide made you wonder how did they do it without cranes or modern tools. The Arch and temple were only minutes from our hotel and you can see the Acropolis through the arch. Games, the precursor to the Olympic Games. And even Egyptian art. Most of the findings are from the 500-300 B.C&#...It is...

Sunday, April 26, 2009. It's been a long time. All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. Anatole France. Sometimes you wonder if you'll ever be the same after experiencing part of life's changes and growing periods. I guess that's why those times are called life-changing events. So I suppose the answer would be no. Why would you want to be the same? January 2009 was quite uneventfu...

Monday, November 17, 2008. Just hug your babies tighter tonight, our lives are completely in the hands of our Creator. We must follow Him faithfully, for that is where lies all safety. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Every girl needs pink boots! I am a firm believer that every little girl needs a pair of pink boots! Karly walks around saying "Mom - BOOTS! She wasn't sure at first but then ended up loving it. All she could say over and over again as she stomped in the snow was "Squoosh! They hosted family a...

Many of you have asked for updates so here is the most recent email I received from him this week. He has found out the cancer has spread to his bone marrow but its still so slow in growth that he is very optimistic! I just need him to know that I am so proud of him! Sunday, April 26, 2009.
