This morning I was about to sit down to some lectures when I decided (it being a weekday and all) that it would be a good day to go to the California Academy of Sciences. My favorite exhibits were the aquariums. I took dozens of blurry photos, here are a few:. They had a large rainforest exhibit, which was within a huge glass globe. Mary in San Francisco. Sunday, July 12, 2009. This morning I made a variation of the polenta porridge I had at the cafe the other day. I warmed up polenta and put Feta cheese and raspberries on top. It was actually pretty good! Althoug the raspberries were so good that I could have put them on dog food and it still would have been tasty. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Lake Maria solo trip Feb 25th 2015. Having a lot of weekdays off makes it easy to get a quick overnight to Lake Maria. This year’s trip was cold again, but still about 10-20 degrees warmer than last year’s trip. And this time the cabin was already warm when I arrived. Putting more logs on. Sunday, December 14, 2014. Savage Fen SNA – wide angle / macro lens. Despite being December 14th, it hit 50 degrees today! So Scott and I headed out to a nearby SNA for some exploration. First of course we hit a Target and Walmart on the way (no good Hotwheels though), then an IHOP for some ridiculous “food”. I got bon-bon pancakes and they were amazing. Then we went exploring the deer trails in the SNA. I kept switching between my new 100mm macro lens and a 10mm wide angle. Someone’s been shooting.

Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Getting ready to leave. Cusco on Corpus Christi above and Cusco with a pre Inti Raymi festival today. Inti Raymi is celebrated on June 24th. As I was riding into Cusco this morning on the bus I was filled with love and gratitude for this land and its people. I was surrounded by such magnificent mountains and I could see the llamas grazing as well. My time with Aida and Kinkulla has been full of laughs, great food and patience with my spanish, they are very happy with my progress.
