Praying for Mary Jane. Updates on Mary Jane Ames. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Dad got to see beautiful Maine autumn colored leaves during a ride in a wheelchair van today, to a follow-up appointment with the surgeon who operated on him. The doctor was pleased- he had not been sure Dad would survive this long after the surgery. Dad was encouraged by the visit. He hadn't eaten anything this week until tonight, when he drank several ounces of his nutrition shake for dinner! Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

Praying for Mary Jane. Updates on Mary Jane Ames. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Mom's Visit to Florida. Soon after Dad passed away on January 29, we started planning for Mom to visit Florida. We purchased plane tickets, but the trip seemed in jeopardy when she was hospitalized on March 11, shaking and incoherent. Thankfully, her symptoms were resolved by a medication change and she was discharged on March 15. Her doctor wanted to send her to a rehab hospital, but she told him "No, I have to go to Florida!

What a blessing that we were able to be together all those years! Modern technology is great. Our family in Florida has acquired a Webcam, and Mom was able to see us AND talk to us on Christmas Day. Sunday, September 13, 2009. Just a little update, it's been a while. We have been super busy the last few months. The kids are getting bigger and busier each day! The boys are finally in kindergarten! It's only for a few hours a day but they are loving it! And me too) although I do spend a lot of time at the school helping out in all 4 of their classes! I enjoy it but might not do as much next year. We are also busy with soccer. The girls are playing and loving it! Soccer 6 days a week! It's a New year!
