He will be sharing his experiences and knowledge of composition, drawing and plein air painting with us, plus much more. The fee is $45 for members, $65 for non-members. October 17, 2016. I have found a Swedish watercolorist, Elizabeth Tyler, who paints very realistically. Realist painting prevailed on our recent survey regarding what our members want. There is also a very helpful hint in this little video about removing masking and dealing with the resultant rough texture. She uses the back of a spoon to smooth the surface of the paper. Here is the supply list:. Any brand of paints will do the trick, but Sherry recommends and uses Winsor and Newton in the following colors:. Cadmium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium red or Scarlet Lake, Permanenant Alizarin Crimson, Cerulean blue, Ultramarine blue, Antwerp blue, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber. Quinacridone Gold is Optional.
