Wednesday, July 9, 2014. First Grade Rousseau Jungles. First grade looked at a variety of prints by Henri Rousseau. They focused on how the animals seemed to be hidden in the foliage of the jungle. Then we read the book, Who's the Beast. I put out a variety of old calendar pages with animals on them and asked them to practice drawing just the head of the animal. Thursday, June 19, 2014. Tall Tales 2014- Gugu's House. Today's book was Gugu's House. After reading the book, the children did a geometric painting, made a water bottle Ndebele doll and built cylindrical clay houses. For the geometric paintings ( Adventures in Elementary Art. The students started out by drawing lines with a ruler. Some of the students used symmetry, others, not so much. Thursday, June 11, 2015. Tall Tales and Art- Summer 2015 (Day 3). The last book for this week was Octupus' Garden. After reading the book, the children had 3 projects to work on. Project 1: Jellyfish in a bottle. Project 2: Tissue paper seahorses. Each child was given a Seahorse Template. Project 3: Aluminum foil sea creatures. Each child received a precut piece of aluminum, without all of the waste! And it was so inexpensive! Once the animal was covered with aluminum, they used Sharpies to color them.

Thursday, June 26, 2014. Tall Tales 2014- The Wishing Tree. Today was our last Tall Tales session for 2014 and we read The Wishing Tree. I figured this would be a good way to end our summer classes- making wishes! The next project was making a wishing doll. The children made the doll out of a piece of fabric, polyfill and yarn. Thursday, February 13, 2014. For rodeo this year, kindergarten made bluebonnets. We started by reading the Tomie de Paola book, The Legend of the Bluebonnet. I actually found a board book that is a simpler version of the story and easier for the kindergartners to understand. In keeping with giving the students choices, I had 3 choices available for them. When the stem was finished, they glued strips of green construction paper on to and then used blue and white paint to make their thumbprint bluebonnets.

Отличный список по возрастам! Jun 18th, 2022 at 12:14 PM. Обычно у родителей не вызывает вопросов, что читать малышам 1-2 года. Это Чуковский, Маршак, Сутеев и большое количество стихов. Сейчас издают очень большое количество хороших книг. Так как ВСЕ не купить, я стараюсь выбирать САМОЕ-САМОЕ, чтобы и текст хороший, и картинки отличные. Только из-за картинок не беру. Тк этот пост уже старый, я стараюсь его обновлять, но по тегу НОВЫЕ КНИГИ. Вы всегда найдете хорошие новинки. Про самые первые книжечки.
