Sunday, May 9, 2010. Mum - May 28,2009. Mum's 88th birthday - May 28, 2009. I checked my email when I got home earlier and there was a lovely Mother's Day quote that a dear friend sent me. Maybe you'll enjoy it too. Thank you Mickey. Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street,. She's the smell of certain foods you remember,. Flowers you pick and perfume that she wore,. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well,. Posted by Pat MacKenzie.

Friday, January 2, 2015. New Years Eve with Some Grands. Lloyd and I in the past few years have hosted a New Year's Eve party in our home with family and friends. It was a fun time. This year everyone agreed that it would be good for us all to stay in our own homes and celebrate quietly with their families and not have to venture out on the dark cold roads. (We're getting older, you know! Mike and Avril, heading out to welcome in the New Year. They are very creative children. We made goop.fun and easy.

Pat's Ramblings: October 2014
http://lloydsgirl.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. The Very Scary Road. Here's what President Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919) had to say about the Apache Trail. I don't think it has changed much since his day. The Apache Trail combines the grandeur of the Alps, the Glory of the Rockies, the magnificence of the Grand Canyon and then adds an indefinable something that none of the others have. To me, it is the most awe-inspiring and most sublimely beautiful panorama nature has ever created.". Here's some shots of our adventure.

Pat's Ramblings: A Golfer's Dream
http://lloydsgirl.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-golfers-dream.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. My husband loves to golf. That is one of the reasons we spend as much of the winter as possible in Arizona. Round about 1995 my sister's husband introduced him to the game. Twenty years later he's still swinging away, having got many of his friends and family involved as well. Lloyd trying to avoid the water and sand hazards. Some family golfers in Arizona this winter. He was especially excited last fall when our oldest son, Rob, got that pinnacle of golfing glory, a hole-in-one!

Friday, June 20, 2014. Daughter Jenny's back yard is full of plants and trees that attract birds. Last week we stopped to visit with Jenn and the boys and sat in the back yard watching the birds. Like this house finch,. And this red-wing blackbird. But my favorite was this mama robin. And her babies under the deck in Jenn's yard. In a lovely coincidence, on the last day of high school for Jenn and Ander's oldest son, Jonah,. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Scrapbooking Day at Last. Playing at our favorite hobby.
