Week 6 – mentors and their ways. November 5, 2016. I’m caught…. This week, I listened to one of mentors and I finally understood. He said (paraphrasing of course” 😉. 8220;If you grew up and live in a first world country. there’s real no adversity”…. I said. ok. that sounds interesting. then he said something profound. 8220;Therefore, in order to get where you want to go… you have either created adversity or you will create adversity”. In that moment… I got it. You see, the adversity is making you grow.

Week 4 – back and forth. October 21, 2016. 4 Weeks in and I’m realizing that programming has me again. It’s not bad but I’ve made progress. My voice is more vibrant, I feel more heard and I certainly I feel less intimated by the sheer fact that I started to read outloud. Some of the things that came up this week include. 8220;who are we doing this for? For much of my life, I wanted to please other people. Hmm, I wonder if that’s a common theme…. So a very obvious change I’ve noticed over the past 3 months is that I am happy a lot! Nothing has changed in my circumstances to be the cause, I am simply happy. I definitely have a more positive outlook on um, EVERYTHING, and I genuinely like myself. Even better, I am learning to love myself. It is becoming second nature! That is super exciting! Week 12 -I feel happy!
