My most recent excursion was to a small archipelago east of Kalimantan. Staying on Derawan, these string of islands are referred to as the 'Maldives of Indonesia'. I didn't need anymore convincing after hearing that. Regardless, nothing could dampen or discourage us because Derawan was awesome!
