It should go without saying. At the #3 spot on my List of Annoyances, just behind “People Who Drive Unreasonably Slow” and “People Who Own Tiny Dogs and Carry Them in Bags,” are “Teachers Who Cannot Spell.”. Sadly, in my professional and personal life, I run into these types far too often. It should go without saying. On the eve of an era. Nothing but kids from 8 AM – 10 PM. Swimming lessons each morning at the Y, where the chlorine in the air bites my eyes and there’s more naked septuagenarian flesh than I could ever have predicted. Weather has been decent, so we’re getting in some park time, which also serves as a nice reminder of how much I generally dislike other parents. Ready to clean out all traces of winter from my house in a frenzy – even giving up snow boots to Goodwill. Fuck it, I’ll buy new ones when I need to.

What the fuck happened? I quit my job. I didn’t like it. It didn’t like me. It was an unhealthy relationship that was making me miserable, so I took a blind leap and left, and I didn’ t have much of a back-up plan – I had no other full-time job waiting for me. Irresponsible? I have sanity back. I’ve got more time with my family. My skin isn’t breaking out and I can sleep at night and I am not having panic attacks anymore. And I’m designing again. Oh, how I missed that. What the fuck happened?

This fucking awesome bra I got at Kohl’s that is soft and supportive at the same time. My new haircut. Chaco sandals. Greek yogurt. Kashi’s honey-almond flax cereal. Kashi’s anything, really. Jogging strollers. Black bean soup. Unexpected tomato plants. In the parlance of our times. And I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

Yesterday we went to this really cool cambodian buddhist temple which has recently completed a massive collection of sculptures which are really amazing to see. I still have to upload them so BE PATIENT! I took a lot of photos.
