December 5, 2016. December 9, 2016. The article “ 9 Elephants in the (Class)Room that should “Unsettle” Us. 8221; is an article that all educators should read and really take notes from. It is great that Will Richardson told us readers to acknowledge the 9 elephants in the classroom. The biggest elephants I pick would be the first two. We know that most of our students will forget most of the content they “learn” in school. We know that most of our students are bored and disengaged in school.

Negative Exponents | Shannon Richards's Blog

Shannon Richards's Blog. Sharing my passion for algebra and teaching. Not quite. Students are forever making up rules as they go along, adding to and modifying what they have been told in the past, creating bandaids of sorts to get them through to the next round. How about we step back and give a logical reason for things, so students build upon and apply knowledge, instead of inventing their own. March 11, 2012 at 11:38 pm.
