Evan's Garden: November 2014
http://evansgarden.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 23, 2014. Naptime is for Suckers! I ordered the flowers for today's church service. And, silly me, I didn't leave a note about wanting the bouquet to be colorful. So, I ended up with a solid white bouquet. Again. If you don't know how I feel about solid white bouquets, you can read all about it here. I guess it's my own fault, since I'm the picky one. I suppose it's all about Evan's purity again. Blah blah blah! Well, here are a few pictures of Evan in his favorite color. I can't say tha...

Evan's Garden: December 2013
http://evansgarden.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 17, 2013. The Most Wonderful Time? Christmas is a pretty wonderful time of year, generally. The smell of our Christmas tree wafts around the house. The lights make everything a little prettier. I don't decorate for any other occasion, so it's nice to have the house look pretty once a year! There's always the hustle and bustle when going shopping. I know some people love that. They love being in the thick of things at dark thirty on Black Friday getting deals on.who knows? I'm a flute pl...

Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Grief Doesn't Define You. So, having read this quote, I wonder to myself, what has grief revealed about me. I guess I'm still figuring that out. What has grief revealed about you? Saturday, July 19, 2014. Garden Bloggers Bloom Day! This summer has been pretty dry, but most of my plants still look pretty happy. Evan's Garden: June 2014

Sunday, June 15, 2014. Garden Bloggers Bloom Day! I'm actually participating in a Bloom Day! I can't remember the last time I did this (because I'm not a "real" garden blogger, I suppose.). The weather in my area has been pretty typical. A tad warmer than average, and a tad drier. Hopefully, we'll start getting a little more rain. We are currently experiencing a deluge, so there's hope! These were also marked Hemerocallis. The Coneflowers are starting to flower now. This is Echinacea purpurea. Big Bird&#...

Evan's Garden: Big Brother
http://evansgarden.blogspot.com/2014/11/big-brother.html
Saturday, November 22, 2014. I can't say that Evan understood when we told him a baby was coming, and he was going to be a big brother. He seemed excited, and possibly a little nervous. When Duncan got here Evan seemed even less sure about the whole baby thing. Duncan was a crier. He cried more like a 3 month old than a newborn. In other words, the boy had a good set of lungs! And when Duncan cried his big brother patted him on the head and said, "It's ok, Duncan." Or sometimes, "Duncan, be happy!

Evan's Garden: Color in the Memorial Garden?
http://evansgarden.blogspot.com/2013/07/color-in-memorial-garden.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Color in the Memorial Garden? I know when I've ordered the flowers in memory of Evan for a Sunday morning service at church, that some people think white is the most appropriate color for a memorial. Fothergilla 'Mount Airy' bloomed for the first time this year! Sometimes I put requests in about the colors I would like to see used in the display. Sometimes, I just let the professionals make the decisions. The last time I let them choose? They chose white. All white. Stylophorum ...
