The mission of Teaching Guitar Workshops is to equip teachers with the pedagogical foundation necessary to establish or expand school guitar programs. TGW achieves this mission by presenting a broad, multi-genre approach that models best practices, utilizes diverse techniques, and continually surveys current methods and guitar classroom resources. Since its inception in 1995, over 4,000 teachers have trained at Teaching Guitar Workshops and over 1.5 million children have received guitar instruction.
