Ben was still in Arizona with my parents at this time, but Evan came along with us to help hand out candy. For the first time we had fried turkey as you can see below. Thursday, June 4, 2015. We finally made it to a birthday party in Wisconsin! I have really wanted to get out there for Cora's birthday the last few years but we never could seem to make it work. The closest we came was her 1st birthday - we had train tickets purchased and were all packed up when Benny came down with pneumonia and we had to stay in Bismarck that year. So I decided, come hell or high water, we were going to attend Anderson's 1st birthday party. I'm so glad we did! Grandpa and Evan at supper.

Tuesday, November 18, 2014. On our second day in Arizona we were out in the pool first thing again. Knowing it was in the single to negative digits back at home, we made sure to take full advantage of the sun and warm temperatures. Later in the morning Matt and I took the golf cart off the community grounds into the real world. That's right, we rode a golf cart to the grocery store! I'm sure no one will be surprised to hear that Matt's a bit of a crazy driver, but we made it there in one piece (mostly).

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. This is the entrance into the cabin, looking up. Carpet is one of the last things needing to be done. And that's going in within the next week or so, I believe. So the stairs will be carpeted and the railing. Will be installed. Then we can finally breathe easy letting Ben run around upstairs! The landing in the entrance to the cabin. Friday, April 25, 2014. Ben Turned Two (and it was great! He thought that banner was pretty great and kept wandering out to point at it and say "Minions! For breakfast I made colorful pancakes for the first time. Ben was pretty excited about them and gobbled each and everyone up! Then it was time for a birthday bath (everything is birthday themed on your birthday). Putting his letters "O" up to his eyes like glasses. This was an attempt to recreate the photo below. From when Ben was about 3 months old.

Thursday, August 28, 2014. Part Two: Why Not Minot (and the lake times two). The fun continued at the lake when we got to hit the beach with the kids on Thursday. We practiced floating in our life jacket in the water. Neither Cora or Ben were big fans of laying on their back. Anderson's first pontoon ride! Close up of my cutie pie. I read it out loud to Andy and we noticed there were a couple of things that we had literally NEVER done in the past seven years of living in Madison.
