Tuesday, March 04, 2008. Life in Iowa has been pretty uninteresting lately. It has been the coldest Iowa winter that we have experienced. We have had tons of snow and there have been very few days above freezing over the last couple of months. Several times this winter the local schools have been cancelled due to the weather. When it gets really bad even the shopping mall will close. I'm hoping that warmer weather is coming soon. What have we been doing on these cold winter days? Thoughts from Sleep Pod 2.

Because we didn't take many pictures, we have compiled a list of some of our favorite moments from our vacation (in random order):. Leaving the cold, icy Iowa winter behind. Finding Mr. X. Attending the Jazz-Celtics game. Holding our niece, Alexandra, for the first time. Starting a rock band with Leticia's family. Getting in shape at the American Fork Recreation Center. Sleeping in and staying up late. Watching a renegade win BANG!

Thursday, July 10, 2008. After four years in Iowa, we were finally able to attend a Chicago Cubs baseball game a week before moving. Matt was so excited to be at historic Wrigley Field. The Cubs played against the Atlanta Braves, Matt's childhood favorite team. We were very excited to see how close our seats were and just how well we could see Chipper Jones hit. Not quite. Our view was good but the zoom on the camera helped out quite a bit with that last picture. Posted by Matt and Leticia.

Saturday, August 29, 2009. August flew by, and I have not blogged about all the great things that we have been up to. Most importantly Grammy Wawa came to visit us. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute of her visit with us. We spent several days shopping and exploring Park City. We found great deals at the outlet mall, and had a lovely lunch at Wasatch Brewing Co. We also saw lots of the Olympic sites as well. Grammy joined in on the Wawa evening dance time. :). We love you, and miss you lots!

Which Doug thinks is hilarious.But I am determined. I really want to compete in a triathlon this spring. Monday, June 22, 2009. So Luke had his one year check up on Thursday. He was 27 lbs 2 oz and 32.5 inches. Unfortunately I think he got a bug while we were there. I tried so hard to wipe things down and not let him play with the toys there.ugh! The poor guy was sick all day Saturday and couldnt keep much down. Whatever he got moves fast! Friday, January 29, 2010. Today I am mourning the loss of my sons adorable little smile. Fortunately and somewhat ironically Doug and I were at the dentist office getting our teeth cleaned. The dentist was very nice and came out to do an emergency examination of Luke's mouth. Unfortunately there isnt much to do at this point. He said the tooth may come in another color.I assume maybe gray or dark and that we need to watch it for possible infection due to nerve damage.UGGHH! It is extremely distressing!
