Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Memorial Day weekend. Next to the 4th of July, it is my favorite time of the year. The unofficial kick-off of summer; it's marked by parades, barbecues, and maiden trips to the beach. This Memorial Day also marks the one year anniversary of when Luna had her Fontan surgery. As I watched parades and read tweets honoring those who served our country, I thought to myself how fitting it is that Luna's own battle is remembered during the same weekend.
