Tuesday, September 24, 2013. This is a true story. I came home from work tonight and found Taylor sleeping on the couch. She wakes up really early in the morning for dance, so a nap is much needed for her). And literally 2 minutes later, I was like. Tay, come outside. The light is perfect". The sun had just gone down and I was dying to take pictures of someone. Being the kind sister she is. And you WILL NOT BELIEVE how beautiful they turned out. I cant get enough of those lips. Ya, all of you. It gets al...

Serendipity: December 2014

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Thoughts for the New Year. Are you doing what you truly want to do? Look back on your past kindly, but don't romanticize it. Keep your focus forward. Do you remember anyone you hated 5 years ago? Does it matter now? Probably not, let your grievances with people go). Examine what you tolerate. Patience is a virtue, but you are not required to endure poor treatment. Find a lifestyle of eating and being active that works for you. Are you taking time to serve others? I only supp...

The Childs Kazoku: 2012 for the Childs
http://brettandlisac.blogspot.com/2013/01/2012-for-childs.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. 2012 for the Childs. I wrote a little newsletter email to send out to all our family and friends for new years. I figured it would sum up the year and help create some framework for this blog. So here is our 2012 in review, so to say:). Dear Friends and Family:. 2012 was extremely good to our family! It was a beautiful day! In the process, Lisa gained 4 parents, 8 siblings, and more relatives than she could ever fathom and Brett gained 5 nieces and nephews! Months now. It's ...

Monday, March 31, 2014. TY - SENIOR 2014. I'm such a sap. I could cry thinking about Ty being a senior. What the HECK happened to my little brother? This is the part where I want to put some pictures of him butt naked at age 2, but he would murder me.). When Mitch and I moved back to Cedar, I was ecstatic to watch Ty play basketball. Pretty sure I was the loudest sister at every game. I might have even jumped up in the middle of the opposing teams crowd and yelled my lungs out for him.). I love new frien...

The Childs Kazoku: July 2013
http://brettandlisac.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 31, 2013. The BEST Blueberry Peach Cobbler. What I don’t like in a cobbler: dry or mushy cake, overly artificially sweet fruit, a soupy mess in the bottom of the pan, drippy uncooked batter, and any recipe that calls for a box of yellow cake, corn syrup or corn starch. Blech. What my husband doesn’t like in dessert: any sort of fruit, any sort of warm fruit, anything warm, anything warm paired with anything cold, in essence, he hates cobbler. Plus, my husband adored it! Preheat oven to 35...

Serendipity: August 2014

Monday, August 25, 2014. You may read the full talk here. I'm not pleased with current circumstances, but that's alright. Things are not perfect or ideal, but I'm still incredibly lucky and blessed. Life, no matter how bad or less than ideal it is, in itself is worth being grateful for. So, I am trying my very best to be an advocate of square shoulders and positive thinking. (reference here. Now let's end this silly emotional vomit nonsense and get down to business. Labels: Adventures of life. Life Witho...

Serendipity: September 2014
http://erinheap.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2014. Oh September, be still my heart. Don't you love the beginning of fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies, and you better believe I would send you all bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils if I could. Or perhaps we could all go shopping for hats together, which would be a mistake, as almost all hats are. Okenough You've got Mail references. But I really do love fall. Summer weirdly isn't my thang, hot dry weather does nothing for my soul. But fall? You should be ya know.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Before anyone gets too worked up, let me assure you, blurb is in fact a word. I checked. Twice. Blurb is actually a noun that means a short description that praises something.usually it's a short advertisement. (don't tell me you never learned anything from my blog. Because, hello, I just taught you a word today). Pretty much I just had a lot of snippets, but nothing concrete enough to really. These days, and by these days I mean the past 3-4 years, I feel as though I've turn...
