The delightful drunk – Woman Dreamer
https://womandreamer.wordpress.com/2015/02/24/the-delightful-drunk
February 24, 2015. February 24, 2015. His arms were fleshy and long, an unusual combination, suggesting a giant of a man. I noticed his upper limbs when he lifted them up and for a moment, I was terrified. We are being carjacked, I thought. How daring! It was hardly dark, the sun was just setting in the horizon, still too bright for the eye. I wondered why everyone else seemed so calm, and for another scary moment, I doubted my sanity. I am not my clothes, damn it! – Woman Dreamer

I am not my clothes, damn it! I am not my clothes, damn it! November 18, 2014. November 26, 2014. I visited a friend in Kilifi last year, a small coastal town, lovely in all ways with clean white beaches and friendly tuk tuk drivers. We went to the market to shop for dinner and found this bare – chested old lady, possibly in her nineties, selling vegetables and coconuts. Nothing in her demeanor suggested shame or indecency. Not illiterate at all! For those using the Bible in support of your hate, refrain!

Disappearing dads – Woman Dreamer
https://womandreamer.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/disappearing-dads
February 10, 2015. February 18, 2015. A story ran on the local media, of a man who was widowed when his wife died in a road accident soon after their last born daughter was born. This widower is sorely taking care of his 3 children, all of whom are still very young and require a lot of attention. Others still toil behind office doors and some we employ to sit our children while we work long or normal office hours. This may as well change to, ‘it takes a woman to raise a child! 8217; It seems like as wome...

Gary Weldon: The Nest
http://www.garyweldon.com/2014/07/the-nest.html
Perspective to Elevate Your Life. Mother bird sits in the nest. Up in the tree, she sits to rest. The cool wind blows upon the leaves. She lays her eggs, one, two, three. With cautious care she guards each one. Until the time, the time has come. Cracking, opening, softly cheeping. Little mouths, that need feeding. She takes flight to gather food. Daily working for her brood. Each week growing, feathers showing. Stretching, calling, warm wind blowing. Crowding, moving, calling, singing. And then he flies.

Gary Weldon: Next Chapter
http://www.garyweldon.com/2014/06/next-chapter.html
Perspective to Elevate Your Life. Well, these days most of my waking, non-working moments are being spent crafting my new children's story, Henry and the Hero Maker. Last week I shared a sneak peek. Of the introduction. Today, I want to tease you with a small snippet of the next chapter:. Below the touch screen was a rectangular opening. It looked like a drawer, but it didn’t have a handle. Henry tried pushing and prying at it but he couldn’t get it to open. 8220;So you think you want to be a hero? Henry...

Gary Weldon: It's time to tell a new story
http://www.garyweldon.com/2014/06/its-time-to-tell-new-story.html
Perspective to Elevate Your Life. It's time to tell a new story. The Pathways Camp Jr. Campers, Staffers and me. Last year at this time I was in the middle of doing something that I'd never done before, writing a biblically-based children's story. Actually, I'd never written any kind of story. I'd written some blog posts and journal entries, but that was it. Was just the beginning. I've had several people ask me about how they can get a copy of The Tale of Benny Bee. Pretty easy, huh? Although it's not q...
