Tuesday, 25 May 2010. A Theory about Captain Britain and The Avengers (Spoilers for this week's books - Be Warned). If you haven't yet read Age of heroes #1. Which came out this week, (And if you intend to) then please hold on a second. If you don't want to get spoiled then please back up, drive away, and come back later when you've read those. Because in some of what follows there are going to be some pretty hefty spoilers for both these titles, which are sadly unavoidable. This is your only warning.

It Came From Darkmoor...: Alan Davis artwork for The Daredevils #11 sells for £3299.
http://itcamefromdarkmoor.blogspot.com/2013/02/alan-davis-artwork-for-daredevils-11.html
Saturday, 2 February 2013. Alan Davis artwork for The Daredevils #11 sells for £3299. I was recently alerted to this auction. By a couple of blog readers, and actually bid on it myself until it passed beyond my price range. Here's how it looked in production. The level of detail in Davis artwork is incredible. The coloured version really doesn't do it justice. It truly is THE iconic cover of the Mooe and Davis run, without any shadow of a doubt. 3 February 2013 at 08:52. Im drooling at the thought of it!

It Came From Darkmoor...: Secret Wars, Battleworld and It Came From Darkmoor...
http://itcamefromdarkmoor.blogspot.com/2015/01/secret-wars-battleworld-and-it-came.html
Saturday, 24 January 2015. Secret Wars, Battleworld and It Came From Darkmoor. So this might surprise a few of you. Mrs Sword is a very understanding woman. Back in the early 2000s, when I first got back into reading comics, it was an easy time for completionists. At that lower price point it was perfectly possible to pick up a good cross-section of the Marvel Universe on a monthly basis without incurring too much debt or the wrath of a loved one. Monthly books were just that. I'm aware of things Marvel ...

It Came From Darkmoor...: Who the Hell is: MORTIGAN GOTH?
http://itcamefromdarkmoor.blogspot.com/2008/01/who-hell-is-mortigan-goth.html
Sunday, 27 January 2008. Who the Hell is: MORTIGAN GOTH? In comparison to my Who the hell is: DIGITEK piece (where I featured a character who while sound as a concept, I felt required a lot of work creatively in order to fit into modern comics) the character of Mortigan Goth is a very different story. Back in the early 90s, shortly before the demise of Marvel UK, a new sub-imprint of the brand was introduces - Marvel Frontier Comics. And frankly, I have wonder how and why? Because, as I see it, here we h...

It Came From Darkmoor...: More on Battleworld and Secret Wars
http://itcamefromdarkmoor.blogspot.com/2015/02/more-on-battleworld-and-secret-wars.html
Sunday, 8 February 2015. More on Battleworld and Secret Wars. So, here we are again. Once more I'm here to talk to you about Marvel's upcoming Secret Wars and Battleworld. Firstly, I'd like to thank for Marvel UK writer and editor John Freeman for cross-posting my original Secret Wars article over on Down the Tubes. What I did want to explore however, is the recent additions to Marvel's interactive Battleworld map. Future Imperfect Hulk (The Maestro version of The Hulk). The Monarchy of M. House of M (in...

It Came From Darkmoor...: Looks like we have confirmation of Captain Britain appearing in Secret Wars.
http://itcamefromdarkmoor.blogspot.com/2015/03/looks-like-we-have-confirmation-of.html
Sunday, 29 March 2015. Looks like we have confirmation of Captain Britain appearing in Secret Wars. So, yesterday I posted up a Blog post about how we didn't currently have any clear evidence that Captain Britain (at least in the form of Brian Braddock) would be making an appearance in Marvel's Secret Wars event. That would be Brian, wielding some sort of sword, whose blade is made of energy. Probably entirely coincidental. But I guess we'll find out, in time. The X-Men office is taking the opportunity o...
