Feedback and Convos – Startup, Zero to Sixty
https://matthewcortland.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/feedback-and-convos
Startup, Zero to Sixty. Build Stuff and Be Around Smart People. Last week my focus was on iterating through the design of Readosity. Getting feedback from stakeholders, and beginning to build an advisory board. I reached out to Dave Andrews. A friend of mine from TFA, who is still in the classroom as a high school Social Studies teacher and who has worked for the past few years with organizations like StudentsFirst. And the Hawn Foundation. And CEO and co-founder at EdConnective. A real estate startup th...
Deciding on a MVP – Startup, Zero to Sixty

Startup, Zero to Sixty. Build Stuff and Be Around Smart People. Deciding on a MVP. I am a big fan of asking for advice or guidance, and so I reached out to my UI design lecturer, John Wood. Who is head of practice at Each and Other. Write down all the features of the app in a list. Determine how those features connect with each other. Look at the complexity-level and time commitment for each feature. Determine which features combine to demonstrate the app’s core functionality. This is our MVP.

Every culture contributes bits of truth to the cosmic whole with their stories of how we came to be and why we are here. Be it myth or fact, the lessons are there to guide and inspire us. I draw on these stories, symbols and a bit of humor to create my work. I see the world joined together in dualism. I play with combinations of geometric patterns and free form, modern and ancient symbols, material and spiritual thought, as well as digital and traditional mediums. My name is Matthew Cory. I do what I love.
