Halo Reach - Forge Monitor (Camera). I took the Halo 3 asset on this one, reworked it's geo, uprezed, then re-unwrapped and reworked the shaders. The model is 3,182 verts in-game, after smoothing group/UV Splits/Shaders Decals/Illum quads. HighPoly done in 3DS Max 2010 64bit.

Halo 3: ODST - Covenant Grav Lift. Concept by Steve Chon. Vert count unknown, used a 768 main texture, and 2 tiling textures for techy parts plus an illum map. Model concept changed slightly from first image. The art director decided on a differen't look. Some additional work was done on it by Shi Kai Wang, but I was the main artist on this piece.

Belair Coupe 57' LowPoly. Modeled, Lit, and Rendered in 3DS Max 2010 using Mental Ray, compositied in Photoshop CS4). The Game Model and Render model Wireframes are the same, except for the visually dense pieces, and logos. This was done to help with Mental Ray rendering, to make details pop more. The Game Model uses normal mapped Alpha planes for the Logos, License Plate, and Grill Mesh to greatly reduce the vert count. Turbosmoothed mesh, different shaders/lighting/HDR). Quick Test in CryEngine 3 SDK.

Randomness, Craziness, and Curiosity. Saturday, August 16, 2008. Long time no update. Well, it's been a long time since I posted anything and figured I would give an update. Although I don't know if anyone reads this. But anyways, living in Washington has been going well. I like it out here quite a bit. But it's been hot lately and our apartment doesn't have airconditioning, so that part sucks. But all in all it's going well so far, but I feel I'm starting to get into a grind and need to mix things up.

I was invited to the launch party last night in Seattle, which was alot of fun. I'm not sure if/when I will get a copy, at least from Bungie. If I don't for some reason, I will buy it and post my work finally. Wednesday, September 2, 2009. I was struggling with the handling, but found an easy fix, so now it's pretty much good to go. I suppose thats a small concern to a company when theyre trying to get a title out the door.
