Reflective Thoughts from Camp | Matt Oberhelman
https://matthewoberhelman.wordpress.com/2012/06/27/reflective-thoughts-from-camp
Theological Musings in Music. Reflective Thoughts from Camp. I seem to say the same thing: Man, tonight’s worship was AMAZING. Best yet! This is absolutely true every time I communicate this. Each night it is true. Why? Only God can be so redemptive and so interesting. I can’t wait to be blown away again and humbled again by how much bigger God is than I thought him to be. He’s not safe, but He is good. And praise him forever for that. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. What did I miss?
Undone | Matt Oberhelman
https://matthewoberhelman.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/undone
Theological Musings in Music. This is where I want to run. This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where I come undone. But this is why the Father gave the Son. You called me out of the dark. And showed me how much I missed the mark. But then You swept me off my feet. The taste of Your grace is so sweet. But then as much as I tried. I fell back into my old life. I fell so far I think I died. Turns out You never left my side. And I thought…. This is where I want to run. This is where I come undone.
New Lover’s Time | Matt Oberhelman
https://matthewoberhelman.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/new-lovers-time
Theological Musings in Music. New Lover’s Time. This is an old poem I wrote, doesn’t speak to me at all in my life right now but I just wanted to share it. Maybe one day it will speak to me in the same way again, and hopefully it speaks well to many others. This poem is called “New Lover’s Time”, it is in a 4.5.10. meter. Both hands will clam. And throats stay dry. And know all smooth attempts are all for nigh. And schemes never rhyme. When you find yourself in New Lover’s Time. Shirts do not match.

Shadows and Ghosts | Matt Oberhelman
https://matthewoberhelman.wordpress.com/2012/04/14/shadows-and-ghosts
Theological Musings in Music. I’m battling my shadows. And facing all my faults. Days like this just last and last. I’m chasing all my ghosts. The whispers in these walls. Days like this just last and last. These shadows and these ghosts. They haunt my waking dreams. These shadows and these ghosts. They invade every thought. They spin their web everywhere. So I am caught…. I’m collecting every echo. Every hollow happy memory. Days like this just last and last. I’m tracing all my steps. Next post →. You g...
