Matthew Sorger's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. December 10, 2009. This semester absolutely flew by. It seems like yesterday we were sitting in class on the first day, and Dr. Lieb was trying to explain to us how important choosing a topic was for our semester project. I was completely flustered with the task, and literally took the next two weeks stressing over what my topic was going to be. This class really has taught me a lot, and most importantly, everything that went on throughout these f...

Saturday, April 6, 2013. Sunday, May 30, 2010. With some tasty grooves by DJ Johnny Fitz and work by Huey Crowley. Friday, April 30, 2010. Pencil on Lenox 100, 6 ft x 15ft, 2009-10. Take note the paper is not actually that dark or grey, it is one continuous sheet of white paper and a bit of a photoshop nightmare. Levels are adjusted so the graphite can sing. Visit my flickr. Sunday, July 10, 2011. What Is Most Likely to Make You a High School Dropout? I was intrigued today when I came across a report. From the Annie E. Casey Foundation linking students' 3rd grade reading scores on the NAEP. With their propensity to graduate high school. In other words, your ability to read by 3rd grade seems to be a pretty good predictor of whether you're at risk of dropping out of high school. Interesting stuff! IS IT: Your 3rd grade reading level, as the report's author seems to imply?
