Friday, June 24, 2011. The lake was lovely and peaceful and captivating. The park that runs alongside the lake is equally as lovely. The water is ridiculously beautiful and blue! It feels much more like the ocean than the lake. I'll take it! I'm not the only one who enjoyed chillaxin'. Sophie has found her new favorite spot in Chicago. Saturday, August 4, 2012. I returned to Chicago after my whirlwind trip to Louisiana and brought my nephew, Austin, back with me. He moved in for 2 weeks and it was ridiculous amounts of fun! We explored Chicago, watched somewhere around 14 million movies, consumed a gazillion drinks from Starbucks, shopped, laughed, competed in GLEE Wii, and much much much more. He is a great guy and handsome to boot! Here's Austin's trip in pictures. His first ride on the train. He looks like he belongs in the city!

Sunday, May 22, 2011. My best friend, Cassie, and her cute little boy, Joshua, who I like to call Charlie, came to visit this weekend. I could write a gazillion words about their visit but nothing can describe how fabulous it was to spend time with both of them. Sweet memories were made. We also had a fun afternoon walking around outside Norton Art Gallery and taking pictures. That Charlie is a cute kid and his mama is gorgeous so picture taking was a breeze! Is it just me or does he look like a Charlie?

Thursday, March 31, 2011. NYC - DAY 1. Traveling to NYC was a breeze. Well, except for a couple of unpleasantries. 1 Big Man or as I like to call him.Large Larry. He sat half on top of me from the flight from Shreveport to Dallas.
