Jeff and Jan in Africa: September 2008
http://jeffandjan-n-africa.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. DAILY LIFE IN KENYA. Today we had our first “experience” going to the butcher to buy a few chicken breasts. The smell was delightful, NOT! Not to be too gross but it smelled like decomposing flesh. All in all, we are adjusting well to the many changes and are enjoying our new friends that we are meeting each day. Please continue to pray for us as we adapt to our new culture. Saturday, September 20, 2008. We encountered zebra, giraffe, warthog, ostrich, ca. It was really quit...

Jeff and Jan in Africa: April 2009
http://jeffandjan-n-africa.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. The Great Vitamin Caper. This is a funny story describing typical third world Africa bureaucracy. Last week, Jan's Sunday School class at Heritage Hills sent us several packages loaded with goodies. Two of these packages contained vitamins. We again stated that they were only vitamins and there was no prescription for them. She said sorry, it was out of her hands and we would have to go see the doctor to get it cleared up! Tuesday, March 31, 2009. This past weekend we traveled into Maasailand to work with the Maasia people there. We went to Oltinka Baptist Church for a weekend of discipleship training for pastors and elders in the area. We arrived on Friday afternoon and began by setting up the generator, projector and sheets for the Jesus Film to be shown at dark. The church is a small simple church with dirt floors and wooden benches. As you can see they have decorated it with their best efforts. On Sunday we attended wo...

Meet our qu...

Paul and Marlene McKay flew up to Richmond to attend our commissioning service and then drove us back to Conyers by way of a short stay in the mountains of North Carolina. Jeff and Jan in Africa: Homa Bay - Tellin' The Story
http://jeffandjan-n-africa.blogspot.com/2009/05/homa-bay-tellin-story.html
Thursday, May 14, 2009. Homa Bay - Tellin' The Story. This past weekend we traveled to Homa Bay en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homa Bay on Lake Victoria for a weekend of sharing Christ's love with those who have not heard. We traveled over Friday, stopping in Ogembo to deliver the new bunk beds for the orphanage. On Saturday morning we were greeted at the church by several local pastors who were going to be our interpreters for the weekend. Jeff made friends with the children right off the bat. After a very produ...
