Matt's Favorite Knitting Links. Matthew Yee is a 29-year old autistic young man from Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. He is very bright with a wonderful talent of knitting since 2001. It all began when his family visited a local public library - he taught himself how to knit by reading books and watching videotapes(Autistic children and adults learn by visual and literal instructions). Currently, Matthew is taking behavioral and speech therapy and he has benefited from it greatly.

For the past two months, Matthew has been placed in Vocational Rehabilitation, which is a branch of the state government that helps people with disabilities obtain a career in the workplace. Matthew was working at a local thrift store to reinforce his interpersonal and customer service skills. He enjoyed working in the job (as all autistic people are in routine) but there was one. An onclave) that will help him with his work skills and to become more independent in the workforce.
