Steve Round Wildlife Photography: March 2015
http://stevenround-birdphotography.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, 6 March 2015. Session with a Kestrel. I was recently invited by Austin Thomas to photograph a female Kestrel. It is a wild bird that has become very confiding in him, as he has been feeding it for some time now. He recently won the award of Birdguides photo of the year with a shot of the bird running towards him. Many thanks to Austin for the invite. I am very grateful to be invited to share, in reaping the rewards of the many hours he has put in, to be able achieve such images. Great White Egret,.

Steve Round Wildlife Photography: Iceland Trip - Common Snipe
http://stevenround-birdphotography.blogspot.com/2015/06/iceland-trip-common-snipe.html
Friday, 19 June 2015. Iceland Trip - Common Snipe. The first species is the Common Snipe. Almost everywhere we went their calls and sound of their display flight could be heard, they were possibly the most common bird of the trip. We even had to avoid running over them on the roads. They pose singing from posts, giving great photo opportunities. Here's a selection of them. Posted by Steve Round. Just awesome shots Steve. Love them all. Its one of my favourite wading birds. 19 June 2015 at 11:42. Follower...

Steve Round Wildlife Photography: August 2015
http://stevenround-birdphotography.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 13 August 2015. Iceland Trip - Black-tailed Godwits. Another of the waders that was on the list to be photographed in Iceland was the Black-tailed Godwit. Looking very smart in their summer colours. We do get some in the UK that are practically in breeding plumage, but I haven't seen any as stunning as these. They weren't as approachable as we were led to believe and most were hard work to get near. Nevertheless we came home with some good shots. Posted by Steve Round. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Steve Round Wildlife Photography: July 2015
http://stevenround-birdphotography.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 July 2015. I have recently returned from a two week trip to Scotland. It was a "working" holiday with the family, so of course the camera gear went along. I set up a feeding station and had good numbers of birds coming to the sunflower heart feeders. With plenty of juvenile birds around I was soon having to fill the feeders two or three times daily. I have added 32 Greenfinch images to my main website, here are a few of them. Posted by Steve Round. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lesser White-f...

Steve Round Wildlife Photography: September 2014
http://stevenround-birdphotography.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, 15 September 2014. Scarce and Rare Birds on the Wirral. With a period of Easterly winds the Wirral got more than it's usual share of rare and scarce birds over the last week or so. At Burton Mere Wetlands RSPB Reserve (or BMW as it is known) there was a good list including a Red-necked Phalarope, Cattle Egret, Little Stints, Curlew Sandpipers and Pectoral Sandpiper. Some of these were present for most of the week, if not longer. Little Stint which was roosting with about 500 Dunlin at Leasowe.
