The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer: January 2014

http://mattmcateer.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Wednesday, 15 January 2014. Your breathing steady at night. Has become my headbeat rhythm. And I struggle for absent words. Which mimic your hand in mine. And I cannot write and title every piece. After you, no matter my motive. Moon of my life, you would only laugh. As the poetry piled up on your lap. The very atoms that hold me. Long for their partners in you,. I still cannot write verse.

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Wednesday, 30 October 2013. 27th of October - 30th of October. When she is around, confidant;. She is like the sunset. Just before a rain,. Clouds of gold, purple and red. Stretch from her morning fingertips. Like an afternoon at a gallery. Staring at Van Gogh’s. Starry Night over the Rhone. She is like water in the desert. She is like a call from an old friend. But you are sitting still.

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer: September 2013

http://mattmcateer.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Sunday, 29 September 2013. One picture in a dirty frame,. More worth than sand in the hourglass. Saturday, 28 September 2013. And out comes the fractured vial. To capture the light. Swimming in drunken tinctures. Listen to us weep. For the ripe new buds. So I've hauki'd and I've coo'ed and I've sweated it out. And what do you know, no one gives a flying flout. Drunken with the taste cold.

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Thursday, 30 May 2013. The world will not tune out today,. All notes, and all tones, are recieved badly;. I went to bed on top of the world,. High King of the Mountain, Low Thane of the Depths,. And now you greet. The heir to all. Mother May's month is buried,. I leave laughter with her. How much do I keep? I am sire of dilated pupils. Frantic breathing, and Host. To a mind that tells me.

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Wednesday, 28 August 2013. We are such little fish,. Caught in the slipstream. I couldn't care less, as. Long as I feel your hand. For you darling, I would walk. I only ask that you share the road with me. Your breath is the lazy symphony. I hear when I awake. Your lips are first things that. My lips should dream, to dare, to taste. This love we share is Victory,. Enfolded by them be,.

Matt McArdle Pencil Illustrations

About why this site is here. As a Graphic Designer with a keen interest in drawing, music and historic buildings. It probably will come as no surprise that eventually I’d want to combine these passions in some way, and the most obvious ‘modus operandi’ was to pick up the pencil and start to draw instruments and architecture. People that know me might ask why only now and not before? And loving the fact that Ctrl Z is not a couple of keypresses. It’s a good old-fashioned pencil rubber! This was tricky to ...

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer

The spilled ink of Matthew W McAteer. Collection of Poetry that I like. Ignore those with a date for a title though. Monday, 16 June 2014. You cling to me like wet jeans. On hot skin. Pulling you away. Makes me shake, it’s so uncomfortable. You stick to me like meat on bones,. Broiled and braised. I say this. Because the separation is messy. But, we need to eat to survive,. And besides, we need to change. Our clothes once in a while. I am okay with it now, and your name. Leaves my mouth with enough space.

Learn Act. Reform. It Wasn’t the End of the World, But the Start of a New Day for Pennsylvania. According to reputed cultist, Harold Camping, the world was supposed to come to an end at 6:00 PM on May 21. Street the group had grown to 3 to 4 blocks worth of people. When do we want it? It is happening in Delaware! Now it is Pennsylvania’s turn to set things right! Friday, 22 August 2014. THE REAL “ME” GENERATION – OUR AGEING PARENTS. Of course, all of that is exactly what would. Have happened had the driver of the approaching car not decided to punch the gas too. What had. When I thought about it, it occurred to me: that driver had to do nothing.
