Devon Daze: October 2011
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Saturday, 29 October 2011. The seal was back again today and Pete managed to get a little closer to take the attached pictures. From others who work on the harbour it appears this seal is a regular in Salcombe and spends a lot of his time either basking on the crab boxes of fishing on the falling tide. The fuel barge goes back to "on-call" for the winter months on Monday and Pete was pleased to have seen the seal before his half-term stint came to an end.

Devon Daze: January 2010
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Sunday, 31 January 2010. At the end of a busy working week we travelled to London for the weekend. The main reason was to attend our daughter Gemma's. Graduation on Monday evening, but we also wanted to see Pete;s brother Roy to celebrate his birthday from the previous weekend. We went out for a meal with Roy and his wife Dawn with Pete's other brother Paul and his wife Sue. G emma. Saturday, 23 January 2010. Wishing Roy a Very Happy Birthday. We parked in the car...

Devon Daze: March 2010
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Sunday, 28 March 2010. Cinema and Family Visits. This was a busy week for us. Pete's travel plans changed so he was at home all week, which is always a good thing. On Wednesday we went to the Plymouth Vue. Cinema to see Avatar in 3D with a group of friends. The eight of us had all sat watching the trailers in 3D in expectation of the film and after only a few minutes the film was stopped and a representative of Vue. On Saturday we went across to East Portlemouth.

Devon Daze: First Seal
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2011/10/today-pete-saw-photographed-his-first.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Friday, 28 October 2011. Today Pete saw and photographed his first seal in Salcombe Harbour - he had fleetingly glimpsed a head.bobbing in the estuary earlier in the year, but not had a good sighting. The seal was sunning itself on the crab boxes at Ditch End. Oh I sooooo want to see our resident seal! Been here over 3 years now and regularly scour the estuary and nor seen it once! 30 October 2011 at 14:52. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Pub Landlady's Life.

One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Sunday, 28 February 2010. Birthday Party and Spring Stroll. Julie has continued her exercise regime this week with NIA. Dancing with Nola and keep fit at Cliff House. Pete continues to do nothing, but realises he has to start doing something soon. Sitting down at his desk all day isn't doing him any good. The days are starting to lengthen again so the hope is that walking in the. Early evening will be possible. Lee) friends and one of Beth's daughters. Practice of...

Devon Daze: September 2011
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Saturday, 24 September 2011. Oh what a beautiful morning. Pete turned up for work this morning and had to take this picture from the barge. Tuesday, 13 September 2011. It would appear that the boat(s) in the picture may be used in a new Johnny Depp/Brad Pitt film. The film is allegedly of the vampire genre and part of it is being shot at Lannacombe. I guess it's a wait-and-see now until they do or don't appear in the film. Labels: Vampires and Boats. Like Salcombe...

Devon Daze: December 2010
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Friday, 3 December 2010. Back to Blogging - Agian. Having found a bit of time Pete has decided to dedicate some of his day off to updating the Blog. The "lie" that was told to us has been proven again in that it does snow here and it does get cold - our weather station reported -10 last night! The snow almost confined us to the estate and if it hadn't been for Julie and some of the neighbours gritting the roads themselves. The weather put paid to a trip to. Newcas...

Devon Daze: December 2009
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Friday, 25 December 2009. Just a brief blog to wish every one who visits this Blog a very happy Christmas. Sunday, 20 December 2009. Meals and a Walk. The 19:03 was delayed leaving Paddington. And he managed to catch that instead of the 19:45 so who knows what time he might have got home had he got the later train. On Friday we went out for a meal with Julie's work friends at the Royal Oak in Malborough. It did rather kill the conversation. And as the tide was out...

Devon Daze: Turkey Holiday
http://devon-daze.blogspot.com/2011/09/turkey-holiday.html
One of the reasons we moved to Salcombe. Monday, 12 September 2011. Fethiye is the nearest large town and can be reached by dolmus (Turkish small bus) or by boat. The dolmus is no more than a van converted with seats and some standing room and the drivers take great pains to ensure they run as full as possible. The boats can be similarly crowded. There are and have been some impressive craft in Salcombe, however, the yacht we saw off Calis beach was in a different class. It was Steven Spielberg's $20...
