Other times, black and white can serve as the perfect medium for portraits. There is no color to get in the way of the emotion that the photographer might be trying to convey. My So Called Life. Monday, June 1, 2015. This was out at Red Rock - alien flower? Bird of Paradise (apparently one of many plants with that name). Nice little natural arrangement. We totally thought this guy was dead - but it actually grew some new paddles and had beautiful blooms! Palo Verde in bloom. I have her a heck of a haircut. Here's hoping it doesn't die! Notice the hummingbird in the center of the pic. He's an aggressive waker-upper. His favorite thing is to sit on your head. I teach the general...

My So Called Life. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Adam had a training in Long Beach and I went along for the ride. It was actually a pretty cool area. Lots of beaches close by and an Ikea! I'd always wanted to go to Venice Beach so drove up one day while Adam was at class. Muscle Beach was entertaining and as expected, there were lots of interesting people! Yep, I understand why so many people want to live here. Though the traffic and expensive everything will continue to keep us away I think. Et in ithaca ego.

My So Called Life. Friday, May 2, 2014. After Pat and Karen left, Adam and I did a little off-roading to Wheeler Pass. We got there right about sunset - beautiful. Below, on the drive to Wheeler Pass. Pat, Karen, Adam and I took a little hike/drive to Red Rock, many of the desert plants were in full bloom.
