Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Back at it after summer break! Wow, I can't believe it has been over a month since I've posted! For the first time since we began this process back in February, I feel like Randy and I sort of "checked out" from this part of our life for a few weeks there. It feels strange actually, for months we (mostly me) spent like all our free time consumed with doing "things" for the adoption! The week after we got back we spent a couple days at my school setting up my new classroom!

Saturday, January 28, 2012. Well, we are home from Moscow as of Wednesday night, which means it has been 4 days since we've seen Brayden last and we have five more weeks. It's just crazy and cruel and I HATE that there is nothing we can do about it. It's the law. It's the way it is. It's out of our control. (Which I NEVER do good with! 10 days. Monday, March 19, 2012. 14 Months Old Today! Today Brayden turns 14 months old, and it is the BEST feeling in the world to know that he won't have one other birthday, anniversary, holiday, etc. without a family! He has been "home" now 10 days and I have to say things are going well. The overwhelmed feelings that we had the first 48-72 hours are gone, and I feel like we are all getting into a routine, (or trying too! The unbelievable spring weather has helped too, I'm sure! He loved being out to dinner!

I also can't help being a bit jealous of some of my blogger friends out there that traveled right before us, or when we did, but are already back in Russia or are heading back soon and will have their little one home for Christmas. (Please know, I am so happy for you all and think it's so wonderful! Just wish we were ALSO going to be going back before the holiday! I have a great husband and now we are parents and it is a blessing and I am so grateful! Is he sleeping right now?
