Friday, July 06, 2007. Nudging its nose on the back of my heel. It follows me around. Sweet, dumb and happy. It goes over in the corner. And I don't know whether to say. Posted by Molly at 12:56 PM. Links to this post. Saturday, February 11, 2006. The sea breeze in. And those never ending waves crossing the bay. All of them rushing in to you. As we all do. To be in the place of your smile. Your greatest works of art. Who would have ripped a hole in the wall. To get to you. If there hadn't been a door.

Poems: October 2004

http://www.maurawelchpoems.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 06, 2004. A Road Driven Back. The house where you beeped from that sassy car. And flirted with my mother. Is painted yellow. A girl in the window throws open the shade. From the street, a boy waves, his grin dancing like a child. Like you. The pier where we fed curly fries to the gulls. And laughed at their desperate dives. Is posted with rules. A barrier stops anyone from driving off,. Tripped out and pushing 90 into the murky Erie harbor. And stumbled into more than we knew.

Poems: Territories by Heart

http://www.maurawelchpoems.blogspot.com/2005/04/territories-by-heart.html

Tuesday, April 05, 2005. With the folds and fullness of women. Ripe and easily bruised. My coins fell like wishes. Into the Chase and Sanborn coffee can. I took all I could carry. Into the soul of the late summer sun. Swept through the sycamores. I ran down the tilting sidewalks. To the steps of the church. Heart thudding like a deer. Porch lights marking the distance home. Streetlights haloed the confusion of leaves. The hulking brownstone church. In a storm of faith. Turned us the color of algae. The r...

http://maurawelch.blogspot.com/2010/08/dream-on.html

An often introspective traveling discussion of ideas. Where I spent summers. Sunday, August 15, 2010. When I was in high school I saw Aerosmith on the Toys in the Attic tour. I saw J. Geils on the Sanctuary tour. I wore this tshirt for a long time. And Aerosmith's bad boys, led by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, became part of the sound track of my formative years. My mother's cousin and step sister. And it's got me thinking. Here I am, less than a year old and to his dying day, that's the way my Dad. Always felt about me. I come from a long line of hardworking, poor, mostly Irish immigrants on both sides of the family. But none of it would have been possible.all of it would be a dream.if we ...Thank...
